Content Creation
Make content from start to finish: find an idea worth posting, write a script with a hook, film and record it cleanly, edit it with the software and plugins working creators use, add text, sound and colour, then publish it with the right title, thumbnail and captions. You leave with a finished, uploaded piece and a process you can repeat.
What you will cover
11 blocks, in this order
Each block is taught in the room, with work marked by hand and returned to you.
- Block 01
Basic fundamentals
How good content is built: knowing your audience, short-form versus long-form, aspect ratios, frame rates and resolution, and the timeline every edit starts from.
- Block 02
Market trends and ideas
What gets watched and paid for today on Reels, TikTok, Shorts and YouTube, finding a niche, and turning trends and research into a list of ideas you can actually make.
- Block 03
Script writing
Writing a hook for the first three seconds, structuring a video so people stay to the end, writing for the ear rather than the page, and a clear call to action.
- Block 04
Filming and recording
Shooting on a phone or camera, framing and simple lighting, recording clean voice, and the shot list that saves you from reshooting.
- Block 05
Project setup and file management
Setting up a project properly, a folder structure for footage, audio and exports, naming and backing up files, and handing a project over to a client.
- Block 06
Software and tools
A tour of the editing software in common use, what each is good at, and the workspace, shortcuts and settings that make editing faster.
- Block 07
Useful plugins
Plugins and presets for transitions, effects, captions and colour that save hours, how to install and manage them, and when a plugin is not worth it.
- Block 08
Text placement
Titles, lower thirds and captions: choosing fonts, placing text in safe areas so platform buttons do not cover it, keeping it readable on a phone, and animating it.
- Block 09
Basic sound work
Cleaning up voice, balancing speech and music, cutting on the beat, adding sound effects, and avoiding the audio mistakes that make a video feel amateur.
- Block 10
Essential colours
Colour correction before colour grading: fixing exposure and white balance, matching shots, using LUTs, and building a look that suits the content.
- Block 11
Publishing and upload
Export settings for each platform, titles, descriptions, hashtags and thumbnails that get clicks, captions, scheduling, and reading analytics to decide what to make next. Ends with publishing your own finished piece.
